Who qualifies for Learning Disability Care?

If you’re aged 18 or over, live in Hampshire, Surrey, West Sussex or the surrounding areas and suffer from a learning disability, you qualify for our Learning Disability Care package.

Personal care

Your carer will see all aspects of washing, showering and bathing are taken care of, as well as oral and sanitary hygiene. And should you need medication administering, or a reminder to take tablets, you’ll never miss a dosage.

Day-to-Day Living

If you or your loved one suffers from a learning disability, it can mean routine tasks are either complicated, confusing or impossible to do without support.

Our Day-to-Day Living care ensures you’re assisted with food and fluids, both in preparation and in eating and drinking. They’ll also help you deal with finances, food and clothes shopping and attending appointments.

Social Activities

Learning difficulties shouldn’t mean life stops. That’s why you’ll get out and about and live life to the maximum.

This can include activities like:

Learning difficulties may create obstacles, but with the help of In Home Care, they can be overcome.

Our Home from Hospital care package is a 3-6 week ‘Live-in’ plan designed to assist you in returning home from hospital. Our carer will support you in achieving weekly goals to ensure you return to living independently within six weeks of returning home.

We understand a daily phone call can make all the difference to a person’s life – especially if they’re lonely, isolated or suffer from confusion.
It’s not only a difficult time for those it affects, but it’s also a worrying time for their loved ones too. That’s why we offer a telephone service to everyone – whether they receive one of our care packages or not.

One of our lovely team members will call, not only for general ‘chit-chat,’ but also to double check medications have been taken or remind clients to remember an event or cook and eat their meal.
Companionship and a friendly voice are things we take for granted, that’s why In Home Care want to make sure nobody has to live their life alone with nobody to talk to.

Additional service: We’re happy to offer a double up service alongside our Tele Care Call should it turn out the person we’re calling needs us to visit them for any reason. Our carers will attend to the person for an additional charge

Knowing we can be there quickly to sort out any problems not only gives our clients peace of mind, but it relieves the worry from the shoulders of their loved ones too.
